This is usually followed up with a reminder that they aren’t doing this for the money.

No one wants to have to sue anyone.  It’s an inconvenience for all parties.

What I remind people is that many personal injury cases resolve out of court with a settlement.  Also, the decision to file a lawsuit is ultimately theirs and not the attorney’s choice.

We also remind them that the other person’s insurance is there to help and protect the at-fault party.  Nobody really gets in trouble.
