Maryland Traffic Fatalities Decline in 2013

Traffic Fatalities Require a Westminster Wrongful Death Attorney

Maryland automobile traffic fatalities, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation, have declined by 3.1% from the previous year and 25% since 2004.

In 2013, a total of 32,719 people died in automobile accidents and the number of people injured in collisions declined by 2.1%.

“Almost 90 people on average lose their lives each day – and more than 250 are injured every hour – due to drunk driving, not wearing a seat belt, and the many other factors associated with traffic crashes,” said NHTSA Deputy Administrator David Friedman.

While it is great to hear that traffic fatalities in Maryland are declining, automobile accidents are still an ongoing problem throughout Carroll County, Maryland.  Route 140, Route 27 and Route 97 are high volume roads for Carroll County residents and increased traffic only raises the possibility for more traffic fatalities in Westminster, Maryland.

Here, at Albers & Associates, were are dedicated to getting our car accident clients fair and reasonable compensation for their injuries, including a cases involving traffic fatalities.
