Ross AlbersRoss W. Albers – Attorney


Ross W. Albers graduated from the prestigious University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in criminal practice. His passion for the legal system earned him an editorial position on the Law Review.

While attending law school, Ross worked as an insurance adjuster for Travelers Insurance. He was a member of the Special Liability Group and focused on high-profile cases involving asbestos, lead paint, trucking accidents, and more.

Ross also attended Bucknell University, earning a degree in Business Management. He played on Bucknell’s nationally ranked lacrosse team.

Ross W. Albers currently resides in Carroll County, Maryland with his wife Emily and their four dogs: Bing, Brooklyn, Freddie, and Henry.


After passing the bar exam, Attorney Ross W. Albers left his position as an insurance adjuster and began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office. There he prosecuted criminal, DUI, juvenile, and traffic cases in the circuit and district courts of Maryland.

Along with the State of Maryland, Ross is also barred in the United States District Court of Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland Association for Justice, Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, and Carroll County Bar Association.

While Ross takes on challenging cases from a broad spectrum of legal practices, he focuses on being the best at his craft in criminal defense, DUI and DWI, juvenile defense, personal injury, and medical malpractice. By focusing primarily on those sectors, he is able to stay on top of the ever-evolving Maryland laws involved with each.

Robert FioreRobert Graham Fiore – Of Counsel

Mr. Fiore is Of Counsel to the firm for its Maryland personal injury cases and possesses a wealth of trial experience, both as an advocate for persons injured by the negligence of others, and as a former defense counsel for major insurance companies. He offers his clients an aggressive but balanced perspective earned through his handling of thousands of Maryland state and federal court cases, jury trials, hearings and negotiations over the past 36 years.

Mr. Fiore is known for his ability to provide clients with compassionate and trustworthy counsel and is often commended for his accessibility, his diligence, and his proficiency in obtaining trial and settlement results that exceed his clients’ expectations.

Thomson Reuters/Baltimore Magazine has named Mr. Fiore as a Maryland Super Lawyer in the area of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law for the past twelve consecutive years. He also carries a rating of 10 (highest available) with Avvo, a national directory ranking more than 90% of licensed attorneys in the United States.

Mr. Fiore received his law degree from The Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Providence College in Rhode Island. He is certified by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, (NITA), to teach advocacy skills, having completed NITA’s intensive professional training program at Harvard Law School in 1993.

Lauren MacariLauren Macari – Attorney

Attorney Macari received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from DeSales University and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. After receiving her degrees, she ran her own domestic firm in Baltimore County. In doing so, she gained invaluable experience in how to maneuver through complex family law cases. She offers her clients aggressive litigation inside the courtroom while also providing the support and compassion her clients need outside of the courtroom.

Since 2011, Lauren has been fighting for her clients by utilizing a wide range of legal skills and experience to get them the rights they deserve. Whether filing for divorce, fighting for custody, or filing a protective order, Lauren understands what’s at stake and she handles each case with sensitivity, skill, and dedication. Her expertise and experience in various areas of family law make her one of the best domestic attorneys in Carroll County.

Joseph W. Tychostup, Esq.Joseph W. Tychostup, Esq. – Attorney & Managing Partner

Joseph is a hardworking and creative trial attorney and litigator, with a focus on family law, civil litigation, and criminal defense. Be it a domestic issue like a divorce, a child custody/support case, or Protective Order, or a criminal case such as a DUI or assault, Joseph uses a wealth of courtroom experience to zealously represent his clients in courtrooms throughout Maryland.

After law school, Joseph clerked for the Honorable Philip S. Jackson in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. During his tenure, Joseph assisted in trial during many serious felonies including 1st-degree murder, rape, assaults, and complex narcotics and firearms cases. Prior to founding Decker, Tychostup & Friedman, LLC, Joseph worked for a small, fast-paced litigation firm concentrating in domestic matters ranging from Divorce and Separation Agreements to child custody/support and Protective and Peace Orders.

Joseph understands the intricacies of domestic law and criminal defense cases and works tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcome for his clients. By devoting his attention closely to his individual client’s needs, Joseph assures that his clients are cared for and represented to the best of his abilities. Myles F. Friedman, Esq.Myles F. Friedman, Esq.

Myles was born and raised in Baltimore, educated in the public-school system, having graduated from City in 1956. He then attended University of Maryland College Park and went on to University of Maryland School of Law, graduating in 1963. Myles was admitted to the Maryland bar in October of 1963 and has been an active practitioner ever since. His love of the courtroom has taken him from the Eastern Shore to Western Maryland and everywhere in between. After these many years, he still enjoys being a litigator, with a primary focus on criminal defense, family law, personal injury and estate administration.

Early on in his career, Myles became an active member of both the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association. In 1988, Myles was elected President of the Baltimore County Bar Association and in 1993 Myles was inducted as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation. His legal career was highlighted when he received the first J. Earle. Plumhoff Award for Professionalism, and more recently in 2016 when, on Law Day, he was honored with the Judith P. Ritchey Achievement Award.

Luke WoodsLuke Woods – Attorney

Luke is a veteran felony trial attorney. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Reed College and a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law.  After receiving his degrees, he served as a law clerk contracted with the Department of Justice for complex litigation, while serving as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps in the United States Army Reserves. Since 2006, Luke has specialized in DUI and criminal defense throughout the State of Maryland, and offers a wealth of knowledge and trial experience, having litigated hundreds of cases in District, Circuit, and Juvenile Court.

Luke has extensive experience with all facets of representation in criminal defense from initial bond review through trial to sentencing, reconsideration and appeal, including preliminary hearings, competency and criminal responsibility, juvenile proceedings, waiver/transfer hearings, motions hearings, court trials, jury trials,  parole hearings, and violations of probation hearings, as well as significant experience with specialty courts such as drug court and mental health dockets.

Luke is an aggressive litigator skilled in quickly identifying and pursuing the best defenses in criminal and traffic cases with a reputation for the finest legal representation in criminal defense. Max G Frizalone - AttorneyMax G. Frizalone – Attorney

Max is a trial focused young attorney with experience trying numerous cases in both Circuit and District Court as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor. Max earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law with a focus in litigation. Max began his legal career in Miami, Florida, where he defended clients in felony and misdemeanor cases ranging from drug distribution, sex offenses, DUI cases, and juvenile matters. Max moved to Maryland to continue to develop his trial skills with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, where he represented hundreds of clients in both District and Circuit court.

During his tenure as a public defender Max tried countless cases including DUI, drug possession, domestic violence cases, and handgun offenses. Max developed an expansive knowledge of traffic offenses and is very familiar with the legal requirements and defenses to driving under the influence cases. Max specializes in this area of law and has earned acquittals on a wide variety of grounds, including suppressed stops, lacking probable cause for arrests, police failure to qualify as exerts, and verdicts based on lacking evidence. Max was highly regarded by his clients and the bench as a fierce advocate who was unafraid to force the State to meet their burden of proving the cases they had charged, often resulting in acquittal or dismissal of charges.

After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Max joined the Prince George’s County States Attorney’s Office and quickly became a senior trial attorney within the Juvenile unit. Max successfully prosecuted a wide array of violent felony offenses to include attempted murder, armed carjacking, armed robbery, multiple offense string cases, and other crimes of violence. Max handled these matters from initial investigation and indictment through trial. Max learned the ins-and-outs of police investigative practices, and was often consulted for advice regarding charging, trial strategy, and search warrants.

In June of 2021 Max joined Albers and Associates to put his extensive litigation skills to work and provide tailored advice to clients regarding their criminal matters. Max’s litigation focus has propelled his career into private practice where he specializes in both bench and jury trials.

Ashley HooverAshley Hoover – Firm Manager/Administrator

Ashley joined Albers and Associates in May of 2018. She began her career with Albers and Associates as the sole paralegal to Attorney Ross Albers. As Ross grew the firm to unprecedented levels, Ashley’s knowledge of the office structure, her ‘results oriented’ mindset, and her ability to see the vision of the firm gained her a promotion to Firm Manager/Administrator in May of 2020. Ashley is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the firm, including overseeing the firm’s finance functions; managing accounts receivable; providing management support to those Associates who are responsible for substantial areas of the practice, and coordinating all of the other operational functions required of a growth oriented law firm. Ashley prides herself in her ability to manage all expectations of our team members and our clientele.

Tamara Daily Tammy Daily – Paralegal

Tammy started with Albers & Associates in February 2020. She graduated from the University of Baltimore in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Tammy has 27 years of experience in family law, criminal law and personal injury. She is the head paralegal for our Family and Domestic Law cases. She works closely and diligently with our clients to ensure that all of the cases are handled with precision and expertise. Tammy is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, American Bar Association and is a Notary Public for the State of Maryland.

Jillian Miceli – Personal Injury Paralegal

Jillian started with Albers and Associates in April of 2020. In May 2019, Jillian graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stevenson University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies. During her time at Stevenson University, she interned at the State’s Attorney’s Office in Anne Arundel County’s Circuit Court; working as a litigation paralegal, gaining experience in personal injury and criminal law. She is head of our Personal Injury department, assisting attorney’s in the work up of each case. Jillian’s primary focus has always been her attentiveness to our clients, ensuring that their experience with us is professional and results oriented.

Ashley Stephens joined Albers & Associates in January 2021. Ashley graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice. She then went on to graduate with a Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 2019. While in law school, Ashley interned at the prosecutor’s office; working felony, juvenile, and Children’s Services cases. She advocates for her client’s vigorously in order to achieve the greatest result possible. Ashley is a perfect addition to our Family Law team and we look forward to seeing all that she is capable of!

She received her education at the University of Baltimore and is extensively knowledgeable in litigation. She works closely and assiduously with our clients, across our personal injury and criminal field, to ensure that all cases are handled with precision and expertise, to ensure the best possible outcome of each client.

Sarah relocated from Delaware, prior to joining our team, where she was a well respected employee with Amazon. Since joining Albers & Associates, Sarah has gained the respect, admiration, and trust of all of her colleagues and clientele.
