Dara Polakoff is a dedicated and highly skilled attorney with diverse litigation experience across civil, domestic, and criminal practice areas. Admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2019, Dara has built a reputation for her strong advocacy, thorough case preparation, and deep commitment to serving her clients with integrity and professionalism.
Throughout her education and career, Dara has consistently demonstrated leadership and academic excellence. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2019. While in law school, she served on the Moot Court Board as Communications Chair, competed in the National Taxation Moot Court Competition. Her contributions to legal education included mentoring as a Teaching Scholar and participating in student organizations such as the Jewish Lawyers Association and the Tax and Business Law Association.
Her work at the University of Baltimore Tax Clinic, representing low-income clients before the IRS and Maryland Comptroller, cemented her commitment to access to justice. She was also recognized by the Maryland State Bar Association with the 2019 MSBA Taxation Section Council Book Prize.
